stayed up till 7am exploring new areas and also jebaited myself into finishing a whole world quest only to find out it doesnt directly take me to the golem boss and you gotta like take this side path to it that was accessible from beginning 🙂 going to sleep was a mistake cuz now i woke up late and theres less time in the day for me to do stuff unless i stay up again and i got work tmo 😩 cant wait to do Fathers story quest, its gonna be so lit o3o

Honestly I am very impressed with Natlan's freemo amount so far. Granted I am at like 95% progress, almost done (according to the map I should have like 50 more chests to open and I have some time-gated achievements I haven't started on) but I got like 150 pulls so far including time-limited rewards. And my game was 100% before Natlan so you know it's all from 5.0.

Genshin and ZZZ at the Gamescon best mobile game award.         

As the show was getting onto its full swing, two members of the hoyofam were waiting patiently for their segments to arrive. When you’re Genshin’s age, and as successful as he is, you’re gonna end up being invited and attending multiple game show award events… He’s grown tired of them, of course. Some he doesn’t even attend with how busy he is. But tonight was special! Here he was, taking phone calls and looking at spreadsheets while sitting next to ZZZ, who was being nominated for the same category as his gege.

The gamescon best mobile game award, presented to the best mobile game of 2024.

It was ZZZ’s first time getting nominated. So you can imagine how nervous he is. Genshin, on the other hand… cool as a damn cucumber. A little too cool, infact. He didn’t even have a speech prepared…instead he helped ZZZ with preparing for a good first victory speech. He didn’t even notice that they were already naming all the nominees for his section. As, he was taking a vv important business call.

Zen could only grab onto Gen’s arm tightly, as the cameras pan to their section of their table.

“AND THIS YEAR’S WINNER IS… GENSHIN IMPACT!!!” says the host, the cameras zooming in to Genshin, being shown on the big screen.

Only noticing his name being called on when Zen was shaking him, telling him to look up on the screen.

“Unfortunately the man himself seems to be very busy tonight, we’ll just show the wonderful trainer of GRIME 2!”

After the award show

Multiple clips and posts were posted online about the entire event, some good some bad. Most were talking about how adorable the two were, and how it’s so unprofessional for Genshin to be taking work phone calls during events such as that. He actually forgot that he won, only being reminded by Zen the next day.

Zen: Hey… I didn’t tell you last night but congrats on winning… I know that I have a long way to go before I get to ever fill in your legacy...

Gen: Huh…? What did I win this time…?

Zen, in disbelief: Uhm… mobile game of the year 2024…? At gamescon! HOW COULD YOU FORGET…?

Gen: Oh… that…                       

Star: Hey, you should prolly gift out freemos, for your players, I mean.

Gen: Do I have to…? I didn’t even want the award.

Star: Yes, you do. Remember what you said during the narcissists anonymous meeting…?

Gen: It wasn’t very anonymous, all of my fellow successful games were at that meeting…

Star: sigh… you said you were going to be more generous moving forward.

Gen: fine… but their only getting 1000. I’ll be damned if I give them another ten pull.

I hit 420 wishes right before the update, so I'm stopping converting to see just how many freemos the new area can give... so far, so good! And I'm not gonna say I'm happy baizhu's delayed, but it has given me chance to farm up all the new items for his talents and wep... now all I need is the weekly and he's ready to go ! Plus, since kaveh is on his banner, I'll probably be able to c6 him too, so that's lovely. Though, it is all for baizhu.

i haven't played genshin since i finished the waterborne poetry event on my main account. i didn't even finish it on my alt account. days' worth of resin are going to waste and freemos are slipping through my fingers. it's not like i don't like it anymore. i just feel like i don't have enough time for the game these days. genshin doesn't feel as casual to me as it probably should. if i want to play it, it feels like i have to sit down and really tick off all the dailies+weeklies i possibly can in one sitting because putting it down halfway doesn't feel good to me. which is compounded further by how long the loading time to boot up the game on my phone actually is. it doesn't feel like i can just pop in and condense all my resin and then fuck off until i have the time to knock out my dailies because i feel like i need to do more while i'm there to justify the long loading time. which is made even worse by the fact that i can only have a day or so's worth of condensed resin at a time, which means i have to sit down and play every two days so no resin goes to waste. i know that you can forge enhancement ore with resin, but the magic crystals i need to do that can only be farmed manually, so i'm also fresh out of those a lot of the time. i feel like being able to hold 20 condensed resin max would solve most of my conundrum. but that's not the reality we live in so yeah.
